When was the last time you drove out of town?

Too LONG!!!

What was your favorite road-trip of all time?

My husband and I had planned to go to Disney World with his parents in September.  Of course a hurricane came through and shutdown Disney world for a couple of days.  It wasn't anything horrendous I think actually the hurricane fizzled out by the time it hit land.  But my husband and I had taken time off and we wanted to go somewhere. so we decided to drive to Colorado. We didn't want to wait and reschedule.

Thinking back on it, I don't remember why we picked Colorado.  I mean I have always loved Colorado, I had grandparents that lived there when I was a kid. But I don't know if we both just decided that would be the best or what.But anyway it was a fantastic trip.  We packed our stuff and drove through lots of interesting places, I think it took two days to get to Colorado Springs, and we just had a nice time, seeing the sites, eating good food, and enjoying each others company.

The things I remember most about this trip were the good music we listened to all the way there.  A cute cozy little french restaurant called Le Creperie.  Of course lots of good times with my husband, trying to walk and breathe at the same time while visiting their Zoo up in the mountains where the air is thinner than we Alabamians are used to, and an interesting trip to the Garden of the Gods.  Oh yeah and my husband driving the wrong way down a one way street. That  was a funny moment. I don't know how long the vacation actually lasted, but it seems like it was actually a long one.  It was very relaxing.  I must say we haven't had a long relaxing road trip like that since then.  I think we actually decided on that trip we wanted to start thinking about having children, and now probably 7 years later and getting close to 4 kids later. Maybe just maybe we can hope to have another trip like that again, just the two of us. I suppose that is a challenge now, a wonderful roadtrip to beat the last one, just us :)  I love traveling with my husband!!!
